Music Tuition

Since 2012, Ian has been teaching piano to a range of students young and old around Lincoln. He has also taught (and does actively teach) singing lessons and music theory lessons too.

Exam entries are optional and although encouraged, some of his students have opted not to go this route. Despite this, he feels it is important for the students to follow all exam technical requirements such as scales, sightreading/sightsinging and aural tests as well as theory in order for them to gain a well-rounded musical education.

Since COVID-19, Ian has also started to deliver lessons via Skype, Whatsapp and other various platforms as required.

He mainly teaches a classical foundation which can then be developed into Folk, Ragtime, Modern.

Ian currently has a very high satisfaction rating on the FirstTutors website and offers lessons at £10 per half hour session. 45 minute and 1 hour sessions are also quite common at £15 and £20 respectively.

Having performed publicly many times, Ian is available for public performances or events - price to be arranged.
